1955 Pontiac Starcheif Catalina 2 door hardtop.
This car has had over $30,000 worth of restoration done...
It started out as a solid Arizona car with very little rust, which of course was great news...Then my brother and I proceeded to take the car apart...I had every single peice of chrome redone....
While we were waiting for the chrome work, we stripped the whole car down to bare metal, including engine compartment,door jams, trunk,firewall and even the dash...I'm sure I'm forgetting something but - basically, a thorough job was done. The car was then primed and painted with base coat clear coat...Actually it was wet sanded and buffed and then cleared yet again...
Before we put the car back together I replaced virtually every screw, nut and bolt that there was...I also ordered all new glass to be put in...To make a long story short, no expense was spared and no short cuts were taken as this car was "my baby"....This car is of course is garage kept and does not have a single scratch on it...The interior is also in mint condition as it was completely redone...
The motor is a 350 Crate engine with about 1,500 miles on it.....
The transmission is an automatic turbo 350 with a Hurst floor shifter...
This car runs and drives perfectly!!...
If anyone is interested I do have the original motor{287 V8 Stratostreak} that ran when we pulled it from the car but needs to be rebuilt...I have the orginal transmission as well, a {Hydromatic Automatic} I believe to be a 4 speed that works very well but needs front and rear seals which are only 15 bucks and easy to replace with tranny out of the car..Original motor and tranny are included in the price only if you are interested....
This car has a all new front suspension, bushings,wheel bearings,etc...The brakes are powerd [all 4 drum's] that have been totally redone...including all new lines and new master cylinder...They work very well...This car has factory power stering which works great but I have not hooked back up yet {just needs an adapter]...The.car also comes with the original steering wheel...I installed another one because I was going to restore the original one...The horn ring and Indian Head are nice but the outer wheel has cracks....Speaking of horns it has an old oogha horn that gets a lot of laughs....The wheels are brand new Craigar SS"s ... I will include original wheels and hubcaps with car..They are in great shape...The car has  brand new duel exhausts with flowmasters as well...I'm sure I'm forgetting something, so please E- mail me if you have any Questions...Oh yeah!!! I forgot... In it's first and only car show so far it won a big fat trophy.. *Smiles*
